Trivia

  • This show was announced via radio & internet around 8:45 on 24 July, after Prince and the NPG were in Amsterdam earlier than scheduled due to the postponed Oslo shows and wanted to play a show.
  • Tickets for this show were on sale only at the door of the venue at 23:00.
  • The first hour was without Prince or Andy Allo on stage. Liv Warfield was absent for the entire gig.
  • The whole band was dressed in black, except for Morris Hayes who was wearing white with a black hat. Prince wore black a white hat.
  • During Calhoun Square Prince made a reference to Candy Dulfer’s mother and manager Inge Dulfer, who was in the audience.
  • During Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) Prince switched guitars mid-song.
  • Most of Prince & The NPG’s own backline and instruments were still under way from Oslo, so apart from Prince’s guitar Hohner and Fender Gold guitar most of the equipment was rented. Even the effect pedal board Prince uses was a rented one. Ida Nielsen played on a purple bass guitar for the whole show.
  • Before the first encore Prince announced they would be back the next night: We’ll be here tomorrow night. Come back and see us. Alright?
