Trivia

During a PRN Alumni Foundation panel discussion in 2020, Clare Fischer's son Brent Fischer discussed the strings in this show, as the string orchestration was arranged by them both. While they had worked together since 1984, Prince had always resisted meeting Clare Fischer, thinking it would jinx their working relationship, but before the show, Prince met with Brent Fischer for two minutes to discuss the final details of the strings. At one point during rehearsals, Brent Fischer noticed walked up a staircase with his father and noticed that Prince was walking right next to them, guitar in hand, but he respected Prince's desire not to meet, and decided not to introduce them to each other.
