- As Prince wanted to televise this concert and felt the Dutch audience were most enthusiastic and responsive, he asked for tickets for this show to be sold primarily in the Netherlands. The initially idea was to stage an extra concert in the Netherlands, but a suitable indoor venue that could support the lighting rig suspended above stage for an in the round setup was not available, so the production was moved to Dortmund, not far from the Dutch border, instead.
- The concert was broadcast live or semi-live throughout Europe, apart from Germany the Nederlands also in Italy, The United Kingdom, France, Spain, Denmark and Austria, as well as in several other countries outside Europe including Russia and Japan. It was not in the US and Canada in fear of compromising ticket-sales for those markets were the tour would venture next.
- The UK broadcast by Chanel 4 was abbreviated by approximately 20 minutes, omitting Housequake, Slow Love, Adore, Anna Stesia, Intermission and a bit at the end, following Alphabet St., with the credits rolling.
The complete show later also released on home video (VHS) in two volumes Lovesexy Live 1 & Lovesexy Live 2, with volume 2 oddly containing the first half of the show and volume 1 the second. It was also released on laserdisc in Japan.
