To The Teeth is the tenth solo studio album by singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco, and was released in November, 1999 on DiFranco's independent label Righteous Babe Records.
The album contained Providence, a track featuring Prince (as ) on background vocals. The song has no writing input from Prince.
The album was released a week after their only other collaboration, Love U, But Don't Trust U Anymore, was released on Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic.
The album features three tracks containing saxophone by Maceo Parker , who was in her band at the time.
Prince met DiFranco and [[Maceo Parker|Parker] following her concert at the Midway Stadium in Minneapolis, MN, USA, on 3 July, 1999, and invited them back to Paisley Park Studios, where DiFranco added guitar to Love U, But Don't Trust U Anymore while Maceo Parker added saxophone to Prettyman, before later joining Prince's band.
Ani DiFranco may have recorded Providence prior to this, with Prince (as ) adding vocals during the same session or at another time in late Summer - early Autumn, 1999 (his vocals were likely recorded at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, even while the rest of the track was most likely recorded elsewhere).
No singles were released from the album. It reached number 76 on the US Billboard Pop Chart.
