Andy Allo

Streamed 15 July 2011 - 29 September 2012
Website: Facebook

Bandmember Andy Allo began streaming a variety of audio tracks on her Facebook page in July 2011, including studio tracks by Prince and Andy Allo (more likely recorded on a portable device in rehearsal), and a range of live tracks, offered within a few hours of their performance. Many have only been offered for a few days.

The live tracks were offered either as YouTube video streams (audio only, with a static image for each video) or Facebook native video player. The studio tracks used Facebook's proprietary audio player.

2011

20 songs and/or videos were shared by Andy Allo in 2011. They are listed below chronologically by release date. Full details of each track are given on the tracks' pages.

Guitar (Acoustic)

Available 15 July 2011

  • Guitar Acoustic (4:36) - audio
The meta-data of the track gives the artist credit as "Prince/Allo", and gives an album title of "The L/C", about which nothing is known. The artwork embedded in the track also gives the credit "Prince/Allo", while the artwork's photo is a picture of Prince lifting up Allo's guitar.

Stratus (live)

STRATUS @ Umbria Jazz 2011
Available 16 July 2011

  • Stratus (2:33) - YouTube video stream (audio only, with a static image)
clip only, from 15 July 2011, Arena Santa Giuliana (Main Stage), Perugia, Italy.

Love Is A Losing Game (cover)

Available 24 July 2011

A cover version of Amy Winehouse's song, performed acoustically by Andy Allo & Prince, streamed less than 24 hours after the announcement of Winehouse's passing on 23 July.

Flash Light (live)

Flashlight @ Melkweg, Amsterdam
Available 26 July 2011

  • Flash Light (10:50) - YouTube video stream (audio only, with a static image)
A cover of Parliament's song, recorded 26 July 2011 (a.m.): Melkweg - The Max, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, including significant (uncredited) portions of What's My Name. It was announced with the words "The Darkest Version Of Light, Flash That Is... Love. Live. The FUNK."

Little Red Corvette (live)

Little Red Corvette @ Ahoy, Amsterdam 2011
Available 27 July 2011

Recorded 26 July 2011, Ahoy, Rotterdam, the Netherlands (incorrectly listed as "Amsterdam" in the file name). It was announced with the words "As Expected I got in a little trouble for Flashing my Light.. But Don't Fret...Here's 'Little Red Corvette.'" A message on the YouTube video showed that it had been removed within hours of posting "due to a claim by NPG Records"; it seems likely that the title of the video triggered an automatic removal by NPG Records.

Come Together (live)

Come Together Oslo Jam 2011
Available 3 August 2011

  • Come Together Oslo Jam 2011 (10:01) - YouTube video stream (audio only, with a static image)

On 5 August Allo posted a 41 second video of the same performance on YouTube dubbed THE CAMEROON, showing footage of her doing a dance that apparently goes by that name.

Love Is A Losing Game (live)

LoveIsALosingGame Instrumental, Oslo Norway 2011
Available 4 August 2011

An instrumental rendition of Amy Winehouse's song, recorded 3 August 2011, Oslo Spektrum, Oslo, Norway, announced with "Thank U Oslo! ♥ ♥ ♥"

The Cameroon (live video)

See notes for Come Together, above. Unlike previous videos, this included visuals to show Andy Allo's dance.
