Back In Time is the eleventh and final track on Judith Hill's debut album Back In Time, which was first made available as a free download on 23 March, 2015. The track comprises of a half-second of silence. Prince explained at an album preview that Hill told him she wanted to record an album like Sly And The Family Stone; the title track to their 1971 album There's A Riot Goin' On was also a silent track and was listed on the album sleeve as 0:00 long. No writing credits are given for the track, but in keeping with the album, it is treated here as being written by Judith Hill (this will be corrected as and when more information is known). Prince produced the track.
On 16 October, 2015, Judith Hill's Soundcloud account streamed a full studio recording of a track also called Back In Time, which is believed to replace the silent track on the upcoming retail release of the album. The track was removed shortly after it was streamed, however, and little is known about the track. More information will be added as it becomes known.
While specific recording dates are not known, it is assumed to have been recorded in January or February, 2015, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA.
