While specific recording dates are unknown, it was likely recorded at some point between early 2005 (when Prince first worked with Támar Davis) and early 2006, at either Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, or 3121 Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA. The song was included on Támar's first album, then titled Beautiful, Loved & Blessed; it was included as the third track when the album was later renamed Milk & Honey, but the album and the track remain unreleased.
