Colors (earlier also known as Wendy and Interlude) is an instrumental by Wendy Melvoin recorded on 18 April 1986, at Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

The song was written and recorded by Wendy Melvoin without Prince’s writing or musical input. It was Prince’s request that Wendy do something for the Dream Factory album. It is listed here as a Prince (Prince and the Revolution) track, for that reason.

The track was included as the ninth track on the first disc of both the 3 June 1986 and 18 July 1986 configuration of the Dream Factory album.

When Prince decided not to proceed with the album after disbanding the Revolution, the track was shelved, until it was ulitmately released in September 2020 on one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe set.
