Day Tripper is an unreleased cover version by Flash of the song by The Beatles (written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, released as a double a-sided single in 1965 with We Can Work It Out).

It was recorded in late 1989 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, during the same set of sessions as Good Body Every Evening and a cover version of Fire, during the last set of sessions for the Flash album. Flash’s version of Day Tripper contains additional rap parts by Tony M. (his part may have been added later) and a horn motif reminiscent of James Brown’s Hot Pants also used in It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night.
