While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place in late April 1992, at Studios 301, Sydney, Australia (during the same set of sessions as Goldnigga, Goldie's Parade, Everybody Get On Up, A 1,000 Hugs And Kisses and Baby Doll).

  • The title refers to the Buick Electra, a full-size premium automobile built by the Buick division of General Motors. The Electra 225 nameplate was a nod to the car's overall length of over 225 in (5,715 mm), earning it the street name "deuce and a quarter". A gold Buick Electra is featured on the album artwork.
