Emale is the fourth track on the second disc of Prince's 19th album Emancipation, the third album to be credited to SymbolSmallerBlue.png.

While credited as a solo composition by SymbolSmallerBlue.png, the track was first recorded as an instrumental during a jam session between Prince, his band, Meshell Ndegeocello, Eric Leeds and Brian Lynch on 3 July 1996 at Battery Studios, New York, NY, USA (during the same session as another untitled instrumental). At some point between July and October 1996, Prince re-recorded the track at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

  • The title is a play on words of "e-mail", and uses the URL "www.emale.com" in the chorus - one of the earliest examples of an artist using a URL in a song. This prompted the creation of a fansite using that URL, which later became part of the official Love4OneAnother.com site.
