Everyday People, a live cover version of the track by Sly And The Family Stone, was released as the twelfth track on the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 VHS and DVD. The song is performed by Larry Graham (who played bass on the original studio version as a member of The Family Stone along with Cynthia Robinson and Gerry Martini) and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png). No audio-only version of this performance has been released.

The song was first released as a single in 1968 by Sly And The Family Stone and included on the band’s fourth album Stand! (from 1969). Of note, Prince has covered seven of the eight songs from that album during live performances over the years: Stand!, Don’t Call Me Nigger, Whitey, I Want To Take You Higher, Sing A Simple Song, Everyday People, Sex Machine and You Can Make It If You Try. There is no known performance by him of the remaining song Somebody's Watching You.

The melody of Forever In My Life borrowed liberally from Everyday People (and sometimes played live in a medley) but the song is not believed to have been recorded in the studio by Prince.
