- Trivia: The Flippers Roller Disco Boogie Palace was located at 'La Cienega', West Hollywood owned by Denny Cordell, Nicholas Cowan & "Flipper". It opened in July 1979 and closed definitively in 1983. In early 1981 Flippers started booking bands. They would play from a bandstand placed directly in the center of the roller rink, with tables and bleachers all around.
