Fox Trap is an unreleased song recorded in 1982 at Prince's Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It is likely, although unconfirmed, that the track was named after the Minneapolis club The Fox Trap that Prince visited regularly in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In the early 80s the place re-opened as Taste Show Lounge. These clubs were the inspiration for The Taste, a club that is featured in the Purple Rain movie, although the actual movie scenes were filmed at other locations. The club was located at 14 North Fifth Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota, just two blocks from First Avenue, another favorite venue of Prince's. It is not known if the song was intended for any particular project. The song remains unreleased.
