GCS 2000 is the first track on Graham Central Station's eighth studio album GCS 2000. The track is an updated version of the track We've Been Waiting, the first track on the band's first album, Graham Central Station (from 1973). The song was written by Larry Graham, and produced by Larry Graham and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png), who also appears as a musician.

While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place between November 1997, and January 1998, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The track was initially titled We've Been Waiting '98, but the title was changed for release.
