Games is the third track on 94 East’s first collection of studio recordings Minneapolis Genius, featuring Prince on guitar.

Basic tracking took place on 4 December 1975, at Cookhouse Studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota (during the same set of sessions as I’ll Always Love You, If We Don’t, Better Than You Think and If You See Me), marking the earliest recording featuring Prince to have been released. As with the other tracks included on Minneapolis Genius, additional recording was done by Pepé Willie at Blue Wave Recording Studio, St. Philip, Barbados. Matt "Dr." Fink remixed the track in June 2010, at StarVu Studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with the other Cookhouse Studios tracks from the same session.

In 1995, three versions (the Minneapolis Genius overdubbed version, the original from 1975 and the instrumental versions before overdubs) were included on Symbolic Beginning (re-released in 1999 as The Early Years, in 2000 as One Man Jam). The original version was also included on 94 East Featuring Prince released in 2020. In 2011, a remixed version by Matt "Dr." Fink was included as the fourth track on the digital collection The Cookhouse Five.
