I Want To Take You Higher, a live cover version of the track by Sly And The Family Stone, was released as the thirteenth track (listed Higher, which is a different Sly And The Family Stone tune) on the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 VHS and DVD. The song is performed by Larry Graham (who played bass on the original studio version as a member of The Family Stone along with Cynthia Robinson and Gerry Martini) and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png). No audio-only version of this performance has been released.

The song was included on Sly And The Family Stone’s fourth album Stand! (from 1969). Of note, Prince has covered seven of the eight songs from that album during live performances over the years: Stand!, Don’t Call Me Nigger, Whitey, I Want To Take You Higher, Sing A Simple Song, Everyday People, Sex Machine and You Can Make It If You Try . There is no known performance by him of the remaining song ‘’Somebody's Watching You’’.
