Lady Cab Driver is the ninth track on Prince's fifth album 1999, and, in 1983, was included as a b-side on some versions of the single Little Red Corvette, the album's second single.
Basic tracking took place on 7 July 1982 (the day after Moonbeam Levels, the day before Baby, You're A Trip) at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California. The song's music is very similar to the 1981 recorded Rearrange, almost as if 'Lady Cab Driver was a reinterpretation of that song. It also bares similarities to [The Stick]]
