Loose! is the fourth track on Prince's fifteenth album Come. In 1993, an earlier rock version of Loose! was included in the Glam Slam Ulysses stage-show, during the segment titled "Hades" (credited, as was the whole project, to SymbolSmallerBlue.png). In 1994, the track was included in The Beautiful Experience TV movie (again credited, as was the whole project, to SymbolSmallerBlue.png). In 1995, a clip of a remix, titled (Lemme See Your Body) Get Loose! (credited to Tora Tora) was included as the ninth track (fourth song) on the NPG Records Sampler Experience given to some audience members during The Ultimate Live Experience tour. In 1998, the full version of the remix, re-titled Get Loose (containing some musical variations), was included as the seventh track on the third disc of Prince's 20th album Crystal Ball (his fourth using the name SymbolSmallerBlue.png).

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place in early February 1993 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, as a predominantly rock version, used in the Glam Slam Ulysses stage-show. Additional recording was done in 1993-4 (retaining Prince's vocals and guitar lines) producing the more dance-oriented version which was released. Despite Prince naming Tommy Barbarella and Sonny T. in the song, the recording was made solely by Prince. The track was originally included as the fifth track on a March 1993 configuration of Come. It was kept for inclusion as the sixth track on the 11 March 1994 configuration of Come. In 1994, a Loose! single was also planned, possibly including a remix. Recording/remixing dates for (Lemme See Your Body) Get Loose! and Get Loose (originally known as Loose Dub) are not known, but it is likely remixed in 1994 at Paisley Park Studios.
