Money Don’t Grow On Trees is a song recorded in November 1981 (estimate) at Prince’s Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It may have been written for an album by The Hookers, the group that evolved into Vanity 6 (The tape box has 'Hookers' written on it), but there is no known recording other than Prince’s.

In 2019, the song was released as the third track on the Vault Tracks part 1 disc of a Super Deluxe Edition edition of the 1999 album.

  • The released mix of this track was done by Niko Bolas specifically for the 1999 Super Deluxe Edition release. It was made to replicate the original mix from the time the song was initially tracked, as much as possible. So even when a slightly different mix of this track might exist, the now released version is not considered a true alternate mix of the track.
