Baby Go-Go was the second single to be released from Nona Hendryx’s fifth solo album Female Trouble, and was released a few months after the album in Summer 1987 (specific release date needed).
The track Baby Go-Go was written by Prince, although credited using the pseudonym Joey Coco. The b-side, Drive Me Wild, was also taken from the album (and is not related to the Prince-written track Drive Me Wild). 12" versions of the single also contained remixes of Baby Go-Go which were unavailable elsewhere.
The single did not enter the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, but reached number 60 on the Billboard Black Chart and number 44 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Disco - Club Play chart.
