For Love was the third and final single to be released from Jill Jones' first album Jill Jones, and was released almost a year after the album in the USA only. The b-side, Baby, You're A Trip, was also taken from the album.

Both tracks were written, produced and largely performed by Prince. The 12" release also contained two remixes of For Love.

The single did not enter the charts.
