Love... Thy Will Be Done was the first single to be released from Martika’s second album Martika’s Kitchen, and was released on 25 July 1991, shortly before the album, receiving a worldwide release. The single contained an edit of the track Love... Thy Will Be Done, which was written, produced and largely performed by Prince.
The b-sides, Mi Tierra and Temptation, were both also taken from the album, but did not contain any input by Prince (Temptation is not related to Prince’s own song Temptation).
The single was a worldwide hit, reaching number 10 on the US Billboard Pop Chart, and number 9 on the UK Gallup Singles Chart.
