Qualified was the first single to be released from Loïs Lane's third album Precious, and was initially released only in the duo's home country of the Netherlands in May 1992, before receiving a release in the USA under the name "Lois L." the following year, due to legal issues with the Superman character Lois Lane.

It was released in the Netherlands three weeks before the album.

The b-side, Need A Little Space, was also taken from the album.

The single did not chart in the USA but reached number 8 in The Nederlandse Top 40 Chart and number 14 in the Nationale Top 100.
