Skip 2 My U My Darling is the ninth track on the 1991 French release of Jevetta Steele's first solo album Here It Is (Jevetta Steele is also part of the group The Steeles). The song was removed from the 1993 worldwide reissue, for unknown reasons.

Specific recording dates for the track are not known, but it is likely that basic tracking took place in 1990 or early 1991 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Prince does not appear on the released track, and it is not known if he recorded a version of the track also.
