Strawberry Lover is the seventh song on Mazarati's first album Mazarati. The track was written by Brown Mark as Fear The Shadow before Prince re-wrote the lyrics and renamed the song Strawberry Lover. Prince was not involved in the track musically. While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in May 1985 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California, while Prince was working simultaneously in another studio in the building on the Parade album.
