Strollin' is the fifth track on Prince’s thirteenth album Diamonds And Pearls, the first album to be credited to Prince and the New Power Generation. In 1992, it was included as the b-side of Sexy M.F., the first single from the following album .
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in late August or early September 1990 at Warner Pioneer Studios, Tokyo, Japan (during the same set of sessions as Willing And Able, Money Don’t Matter 2 Night, 5 Women and Something Funky (This House Comes)). Additional recording took place later in 1990 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The track was included as the fourth track on the December 1990, configuration of Diamonds And Pearls, but was moved to become the fifth track on the 1 March 1991 and 8 May 1991 configurations, where it remained for release.
