Synasthesia (a perhaps deliberate misspelling of '’synesthesia (American English) or '’synaesthesia (British English) — a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway), is an unreleased song presumably recorded in 1994 or 1995 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The song was included as the first track of an unreleased album called New World, which in part can be considered an early configuration of what became Emancipation. The track remains unreleased and no other details about it are known.
