Thankful N' Thoughtful is a cover version of the song by Sly And The Family Stone, which first appeared on their 1973 album Fresh.

Prior to its performance during the Yahoo! Live album release party broadcast for Art Official Age and Plectrumelectrum, Prince is only known to have performed the song once before as an interpolation in Thank You For Talkin' To Me Africa, in 1998.

No studio version by Prince is believed to exist.
