The Exodus Has Begun is the twentieth track (ninth song) on the New Power Generation's second 'solo' album Exodus.

Basic tracking took place on 15 May 1994, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during the same set of sessions as Get Wild, New Power Soul, Hallucination Rain, Slave 2 The System, Count The Days and It Takes 3).

Some slight remixing took place in late May or early June 1994, and this version was included as the second track (first song) on the 19 June 1994 configuration of Exodus.

It was also included as the fifteenth track (eleventh song) on the 2 December 1994 configuration. Some slight remixing took place in December 1994 - January 1995 for the final release.
