The Guilty Ones is an unreleased track recorded on 16 October 2007 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It is possible that other musicians including his 2007 band line-up were involved, but as this has not been confirmed, the track is listed here as a solo recording, and will be updated if more information becomes available.
A portion of the song’s lyrics were included in the 21 Nights book in 2008, but it was not confirmed that they came from a song until the title was discovered on a vault tape following Prince’s death. Nothing else is known about the track, which remains unreleased.
