Thou Shall Not Kill is the eleventh track on the Mobb Deep compilation album The Infamous Archives of previously unreleased music. It was written and produced by Havoc, Gerard McMahon and Mike Mainieri.

After Prince passing Mobb Deep 's Havoc said that Prince happened to be in Electric Lady Studios in New York, NY, USA at the same time that Mobb Deep were recording. When Havoc asked for his opinion on a work-in-progress beat, he just started jamming on a keyboard. Naturally, he walked out without even saying bye after he finished. Havoc kept in Prince’s contribution but didn’t tell anyone about it.

While specific recording dates are not known, it is assumed to have been recorded in mid-september 1999, at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, NY, USA, during sessions for Mobb Deep's fourth studio album Murda Muzik. Prince was the Electric Lady Studios to record rap overdubs with Eve for Hot Wit U and The Greatest Romance Ever Sold (The Adam & Eve Remix).
