Turn Me Loose is an unreleased song, which was premiered in a live performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, on 25 April 2008. It was assumed at the time that a studio version would be included on Prince's next album, and a studio version was played on KJLH internet radio on 24 September 2008, but the song was not included on his next studio albums Lotusflow3r or MPLSound.
It is thought the track was first cut in the spring of 2008, but it was also worked on in August 2008 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California. It is unknown if the song was ever intended for either of these albums, although there is some evidence that the song was intended for an unreleased 2008 album which would also include F.U.N.K.
