Venus De Milo (Instrumental) is assumed to be an unreleased composition created for the film Under The Cherry Moon, tracked either on 6 or 7 January 1986 or between 6 May 1986 - 9 May 1986 at Warner Hollywood Studios, Hollywood, California (January) or Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA (May) during the scoring for Under The Cherry Moon.
It is the music used under a scene that was cut from the film, where Christopher talks to a Venus de Milo statue. Musically it is Eric Leeds on flute initially and saxophone later with a simple Linn LM-1 beat underneath towards the end.
The song was copyrighted at ASCAP together with the rest of the score, but fails to acknowledge the likely contribution of Eric Leeds in composing this.
Although almost similar in title the composition has nothing to do with Venus De Milo (and instrumental in itself), but likely just named for the scene it was used in featuring a Venus de Milo statue
