Glam Slam is a Prince video released for broadcast and to promote the single.

It is a fairly straightforward performance on the Lovesexy stage, filmed during the Lovesexy Tour rehearsals at Paisley Park Studios on 7 May 1988. Prince wears a polka-dotted blindfold (matching his polka dot outfit) and has an acoustic guitar throughout the performance. Cat dances around and with him, while the rest of the band mimic their parts on the stage.

Interestingly Eric Leeds and Atlanta Bliss are shown to play violins, rather than horns, as the (studio version of the) song does not feature prominent horns, but has (synthesizer) strings. A three-person string section is also on stage. The video furthermore shows three dancers, which are in fact The Game Boyz. They had also appeared in Purple Rain and would later (in 1990) join the band for live performances.

A Love God stop sign insignia appears in the video, as does the text 'Glam Slam' painted on the stage floor. With the closing strains of the song Prince removes the mask.
