Whenever is an unreleased instrumental track initially put to tape in 1974, after Prince and André Cymone won studio time at the Cookhouse Studios. In early 1976 it was recorded again by Grand Central Corporation, a band consisting of Prince, André Anderson and Morris Day, at ASI Studio, Minneapolis, MN, USA (during the same set of sessions as 39th St. Party, Lady Pleasure, Machine, You're Such A Fox and Grand Central). The sessions were engineered and overseen by David Rivkin (who is assumed to have produced the tracks also). It is not known if the track was considered for inclusion on any project.
