While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking most likely took place in March/April 2010 at [[Paisley Park Studios]] in Chanhassen, Minnesota. This is the only song on the album to feature [[Prince]] as the sole musician (without [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tal_Wilkenfeld Tal Wilkenfeld], [[Chris Coleman]] and/or [[John Blackwell]]). 

In the 2017 [[Prince]] Exhibit "My Name Is Prince" at the O<sub>2</sub> in London, England, lyrics of this song were on display, including noting of verses and a key of F, for it to be played in. A line of the lyrics reads: '' "If u ask the Lone Ranger Rin Tin Tin (1010)"'', with 1010 could be [[Prince]] shorthand for (Rin)TinTin and a play on words with the angelical number 1010. Also in that line the L in Lone Ranger is corrected from a B. Bone ranger is a pun that also occurs in the lyrics to [[18 & Over]].
