While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place in January 1992, at Paisley Park Studios (during the same set of sessions that produced The Continental, Damn U, The Flow, Born 2 B.R.E.E.D., With This Tear, Qualified and a revamped version of Sex). The track was included as the 22nd track (14th song) on a March 1992, configuration of the SymbolSmallerBlue.png album, and the 22nd track (15th song) on a late-Summer, 1992, configurations, until many of the album's segues were removed for release.

  • The name was adapted slightly for the 1993 comic book Three Chains Of Gold, which tells a similar story to the video collection and to the SymbolSmallerBlue.png album.
