Adonis & Bathsheba is a track recorded on 27 July 1986 at Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio (the day after The Ball). Prince had just completed the final version of the Dream Factory album, and it is unknown if this song was intended for any project at the time, but during Prince: A Celebration in June 2000, computer screens at Paisley Park Studios offered names of a selection of tracks which users could vote on for inclusion on Crystal Ball Volume II, and while Adonis & Bathsheba was chosen by fans, that project was ultimately abandoned.

The song was released in September 2020 on one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe set.
