♥ Prince is the sixth promotional compilation album by Prince, available in Summer 1988 on cassette in the UK and Germany, to be played in stores to promote the Lovesexy Tour in these territories. The title (« I Love Prince » stylized) comes from the J Card for the UK edition. The German edition contained no artwork and was simply labeled « Prince ». The cassette includes the same fourteen tracks which have been previously released as singles included on Sounds O’ The Times with two additional songs from Lovesexy (Alphabet St. and Glam Slam, which was also released as a single around the same time). Prince had released ten albums at that point, but neither For You nor Controversy were represented on this collection.
