New World is an unreleased album by worked on in 1995 and effectively a precursor to what became the album Emancipation.. It was mentioned by Mayte in an interview with Uptown Magazine in July 1995. Mayte described it as a "techno" album, and is believed to have included both New World and Slave (as Candle Burns), both of which were later released on Emancipation (as well as Feel Good, D J, 2020, Funky Design and Goodbye which were all, at some point, considered for the album).
Much like the Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic and Graffiti Bridge projects in 1988, seems to have been working simultaneously on both New World and Emancipation. It is not entirely clear whether he viewed them as entirely separate projects or simply saw these as two names for the same project; for clarity’s sake, information pertaining to New World is listed here, and informations pertaining to early configurations of Emancipation are listed on that album’s page.
