Prince had sent several tracks to Candy Dulfer to choose from for the album, and she felt Sunday Afternoon suited the feel of the album best. It is not known which other songs were offered. Although Candy Dulfer had appeared on Prince recordings prior to this release, this album contains the first (and only) contribution by Prince to Candy Dulfer's solo career.
