Baby, I Love You is a cover version of the track by Aretha Franklin (from her 1967 album Aretha Arrives, also released as a single a month before the album). SymbolSmallerBlue.png released a live version of the track, featuring Chaka Khan on lead vocals, on the 1999 Beautiful Strange home video (which had been broadcast in full almost a year earlier, however, on the UK TV channel Channel 4). He is not known to have recorded a studio version. As such, the recording personnel listed below are from the live version from the Beautiful Strange home video release.

Three years after his death, The Prince Estate made this performance available as a separate performance on the official Prince streaming video platforms in 2019.
