Beatown is an unreleased track, likely recorded in mid-to-late September, 1987, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA. The song is thought to have been written specifically for the Graffiti Bridge movie, and a song believed to have been Beatown was outlined in the initial script, dated 22 September, 1987.
It was included as the sixth track on the 25 September, 1988 configuration of the Graffiti Bridge album. Eric Leeds then recorded saxophone overdubs to the track on 30 September, 1988, also at Paisley Park Studios, but the song was removed as the album and movie underwent further changes.
The song remains unreleased.
