Blanche is an unreleased groove song about “A girl named Blanche and a dude named Stanley’s desire” as Prince says over the intro. It was recorded on 15 July 1986 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California (at the end of the one-day session that produced Sign O’ The Times). While sessions in July concentrated on material for the aborted Dream Factory, the track is not known to have been placed on any known configuration of the album, or any other project.
