Keeping the theme established on Push It Up (on the New Power Generation's Newpower Soul) and Democrazy (on Chaka Khan's Come 2 My House), the track contains shared lead vocals between Larry Graham, [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaka_Khan Chaka Khan] and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png). The song was written by Larry Graham, and produced by Larry Graham and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png), who also appears as a musician.

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place between November, 1997, and January, 1998, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA.
