Free is the second track on Graham Central Station's eighth studio album GCS 2000. Keeping the theme established on Push It Up (on the New Power Generation's Newpower Soul) and Democrazy (on Chaka Khan's Come 2 My House), the track contains shared lead vocals between Larry Graham, [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaka_Khan Chaka Khan] and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png). The song was written by Larry Graham, and produced by Larry Graham and Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png), who also appears as a musician.

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place between November, 1997, and January, 1998, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA.

The track is completely unrelated to Prince's own track Free (for details of that song, click here).
