The original full-length version of the song was included as the twelfth track (sixth song) on the 19 June 1994 configuration of Exodus, but was not included on the 2 December 1994 configuration, before being returned to the album for its release. The track contains the only known contribution to a Prince-related track by David Bauder, an electric violin player from the Los Angeles Philharmonic junior ensemble, who was flown in to add his part after Prince met him in Los Angeles.
