My Drawers is the second track on The Time’s third album Ice Cream Castle, and, in the Summer/Fall of 1984, an edit of the track was included as the b-side of The Bird, the album’s third single. In 1990 the album version was included as the b-side of Chocolate, the second single from the band’s fourth album Pandemonium.

My Drawers was written by Prince under the pseudonym Jamie Starr, but was credited on the album to Morris Day. It was co-produced by Morris Day and Prince under the name The Starr Company.

Basic tracking took place on 11 January 1984 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California (two days before Ice Cream Castles). In 1990, it was planned as the b-side of the single Pandemonium, before that single was canceled and replaced by Chocolate, where it remained as the b-side.
