Oh, Baby is the fifth track on The Time’s first album The Time. In 1984, it was included as the b-side of Jungle Love, the third single from The Time’s third album Ice Cream Castle. The song was written by Prince, although the album does not contain any writing credits.
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place during the Prince album sessions from late April to late May 1979 at Alpha Studios, Burbank, CA, USA. The track was re-recorded for The Time in April 1981 at Prince’s Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota (along with the rest of the album). As with much of the rest of the album, the recording features only Prince and Morris Day.
